Possible incorrect date of death Ismail I
[edit]I suspect the date of death of Ismail I is misquoted using ref: [1]. Since I do not have access to this book I cannot confirm this suspicion.
Date of death was last edited on 15 May 2017.
However, a Google Books search on 6 June/Junio 1325 yields no results, whereas 6 July/Julio 1325 does:
Al-Ándalus: el Sultanato de Granada (1232-1492)
pdf
Also the start/succession box at the bottom currently states 7 July as the date of death which is inconsistent. Mill 1 (talk) 08:12, 31 August 2017 (UTC)

- Actually, it is not misquoted;
- "Ismai'il had an argument with his cousin Muhammad ibn Isma'il, known as the Sahib al-Jazira, who assassinated him on 27 Rajab 725/6 June 1325, while he was giving public audience at the gate of his palace, apparently because Isma'il I had taken a slave-girl who belonged to him."
- We can put 6 June with a notation(to Fernández-Puertas) and 6 July using the source you provided. --Kansas Bear (talk) 17:10, 31 August 2017 (UTC)
- "Muslim Spain and Portugal: A Political History of Al-Andalus, by Hugh Kennedy, page 287, states 6 July. We can notate Fernández-Puertas, and use Kennedy for 6 July. --Kansas Bear (talk) 18:31, 31 August 2017 (UTC)
